Girls’ XCEL
Xcel is a division of USA Gymnastics. Within the Xcel program, there are five different levels of competition—bronze, silver, gold, platinum, and diamond. It allows the gymnast to progress in skill level and experience competition sooner with a greater opportunity for success and without the heavy time and financial commitments required by JO. It is also a great stepping stone to high school gymnastics.
Girls’ Junior Olympic
USA Gymnastics also provides a Junior Olympic program.
The levels of competition are Level 3 – 10. Level 6-10 are optional levels. In the optional levels, there are skill requirements for each routine/level but each gymnast is allowed to perform her own unique routines that meet those requirements. The optional season begins mid-December and continues through April or May depending on the level. As the gymnasts progress in levels, a greater time and financial commitment is required.
Team families are expected to make very specific time and financial commitments. These commitments are explained in detail in our team handbooks, which are handed out at preseason parent meetings. Please call for tuition prices. Tuition is the cost of team training and is based on level. In addition to tuition, families will have costs related to competition, including competition entry fees, coaches’ fees, travel costs, uniforms, etc.
